Brenna Brom of "It's a Whimsical life" has been creating whimsical art since 2016. While her art has evolved over time, she currently focuses on her colorful and vibrant acrylic paintings and prints. When she gets sick of painting, she likes to dabble in digital artwork. Brenna is also a group fitness instructor, manager at Threshold Arts Organization, and a mother to a lively 3 year old. Creating has not only been a small business venture for Brenna, but also a positive coping skill and means of relaxation. Life is full of chaos. Brenna likes to hone in on that chaos and create something whimsical.
Let's talk Art
Brenna focuses on her acrylic paintings, which feature bold colors and playful nature-like themes. Using intricate black detailing, she organizes these vibrant, chaotic pieces into something whimsical. She compares her pieces to her life. Overwhelming and messy, but capable of order and magic.

While acrylic is her favorite, she has also dabbled in gouache and watercolor painting, digital art, fine line marker drawings and embroidery.

Little Thistle Brewery
Artist Glass Design
Brenna's favorite local brewery, Little Thistle Brewery, in Rochester MN, asked her to design a glass. This glass was only available for a limited time and is now up for display at the brewery. Her design depicted the brewery's name and slogan, various fruits used in their sour beers, thistle plants and hops.
Med City Marathon 2023
Featured Artist
Brenna was asked to create the 2023 Med City Marathon Race painting. She provided wonderful detail in her very iconic style, showing the marathon map, the Rochester corn tower and a beautiful array of Bluebell flowers that are in abundance during this springtime race.
